A c.1910 porcelain enamel identification plate from a Keystone Driller First Size (Size 1) steam drilling rig, made by the Keystone Driller Company in Beaver Falls, PA. Keystone drilling rigs were widely used for water/artesian wells, and in exploration for petroleum and placer gold from the 1880's into the 1950's.
The sign itself was made by the Ingram Richardson Manufacturing Company, successors to the Enameled Iron Sign Company, also located in Beaver Falls, PA.
This image would look great on a t shirt or on a metal or acrylic print!
The sign is in the collection of Historic Beaver Falls, a privately owned collection of Beaver Falls area historical images and artifacts. All sales proceeds from images featuring HBF items will be used to preserve and further the collection.
