Love it.
My husband’s precious grandmother loved giving me a tour of her garden plants. Outside, she had several potted plants displayed on this table, which had become weathered. I exclaimed over its charm, and she instantly offered the table to me!
There was enough paint left for me to see its original colors and design. So, I cleaned rust off the chrome legs, repainted the table and added a matching drawer pull.
This table has been a joy and a workhorse for me. It’s served for sewing, painting, making pies, serving guests, and canning. Its uses change with the seasons. Garden produce and drying seeds tend to cover it in the summer and fall. Breads and desserts cover it at holiday time. In this photo, the table is providing space for peaches to ripen.
This table style comes from the 1930s and 1940s. Mine has a utensil drawer and a sliding leaf on each side. I especially use those pullouts when preserving food to allow more space for canning jars, pans...
